A WORLD CHAMPION STALLION

The son of the legendary mare VITAL SIGNS ARE GOOD and World Champion stallion BLAZING HOT

VS CODE RED WAS DESTINED FOR GREATNESS!

The son of the legendary mare VITAL SIGNS ARE GOOD and World Champion stallion BLAZING HOT made his own mark on history at the 2009 All American Quarter Horse Congress as the first to win the Open, Limited Open and Non-Pro Two-Year-Old Western Pleasure Futurities, prepared and shown in all three by his amateur owner, Kristen Galyean.

The progression to western riding came naturally to the young red roan stallion, whose natural lift and strength made the lead changes easy. With Charlie Cole as pilot, VS Code Red returned to the All American Quarter Horse Congress in 2011 to add two more Congress Championship titles, winning both the Junior Western Riding (unanimously) and the Green Western Riding.

“Flawless.”

Charlie Cole describes his unanimous championship go on VS Code Red in the Junior Western Riding at the 2011 All American Quarter Horse Congress.

"The Beat Goes On…"

VS Code Red offspring earnings have surpassed $1 Million!

Proven in the show arena, VS Code Red is definitely making his mark as a sire. With Congress Champions, including two Congress Masters Champions (VS Lady In Red and VS The First Lady), and multiple AQHA, APHA and NSBA World Champions, he is proving to be a sire of western pleasure, hunter under saddle and all around event horses competitive in open, amateur and youth competition.

Snap It Send It, sired by VS Code Red, was the 2021 AQHA World Championship Show Superhorse. Watch for full siblings of this proven cross!

KATIE VAN SLYKE & RUNNING SPRINGS FARM

If you asked me what I loved more, Horse Showing or Horse Breeding, I wouldn't know how to choose! I grew up in a horse barn with parents who bred and showed horses before I was even born. People ask me how I came into this passion, and the truth is that it's ALL THEIR FAULT;)

From POA ponies, to Paint Horses, and then to Quarter Horses, we have shown and bred them all over the past 26+ years! The barn truly is my happy place and I love being able to share it with the world!

We now have a farm that is home to several horses along with many other amazing animals.
